Its not everyday I meet someone with my name, Jamie. It seems to be an ‘older’ name, one used a generation or so right before mine. I was the only Jamie (besides a boy named Jamie) in my entire graduating class. Crazy, right? I feel so many people share the same name these days! So you can bet my surprise and excitement when this sweet bride-to-be messaged me about shooting her shower, and listed her name …”Jamie”. JAMIE?! A name twin. How perfect! Its like it was meant to be.

When I walked into the house, I could tell that this woman was well loved. The joy that radiated from her all day was infectious, and it was a no brainer that her friends were as awesome as she is. Incase you’re not from around here, a summer in Texas is a sensitive, delicate balance. Beautiful greens flourishing, crepe myrtle are starting to pop out, lake days are a plenty. This afternoon was the other side of the coin of a typical southern summer day, nice and toasty! I don’t know if I have ever sweated that much in my life (ever). But through all of that, not one true complaint. From Jamie or her people. I remember thinking to myself how she is going to make a very selfless and thoughtful wife, as she kept asking everyone else how they were doing! If they needed anything. If they were comfortable and having fun. Still, no complaints about how hot she felt. All while smiling and hugging and loving on each and every person that was there. No matter how the weather in Texas felt that day, I can guarantee you that I absolutely LOVED being apart of her day and serving her. It was easy to forget about it when I was surrounded by so many wonderful people. Thank you so much Jamie for having me sit in on your intimate bridal shower with all the people you love the most. I am so honored you chose me! Love you to bits, can’t wait to see you again name twin! Xoxo.
