The view as I drove up over the hill to see lake superior for the first time was overwhelming. I felt a lump in my throat and a rush of emotion. My first glance at one of the great lakes. I pulled over, opened my car door and felt the chill from outside. Breathing in the beauty that overlooked the horizon.
