Richland High School Drill Team Photos by Jamie Brogdon
Drill Team photos are made up of lots of pom pom’s, sequins, glitter and talented dancers. And Y’all, this team brings a whole lot of cuteness! A huge shout out to their new incredibly hard working directors for making this team what it is this year. The head director, Kelly, reached out to me last year after I had worked with a few teams she choreographed for, and we instantly clicked! I felt so welcomed by both directors and dancers through the entire team photo process. The first meeting with a new team is so important, it really sets the tone for the rest of the season… so to no surprise after our big team shoot that we made magic this year together.
Choosing the right team photographer is a big deal. If you choose one that helps your girls feel relaxed, confident, and beautiful in their own skin… you BET that’s going to impact their performances. Starting the season off right with feeling good about yourself can produce even harder working athletes. If your photographer is doing stiff poses, being short with them, and making them feel uncomfortable, your athletes won’t feel just as amazing as they are – even if the final product is beautiful. The experience matters.
Dear Kelly, Im so thankful you found me!! My ‘team photo’ season wouldn’t have been the same without you and your dancers. You have been a wonderful support system for not only your team and other directors, but for me as a fellow creative professional. I can’t wait to see you again soon, Royal Line!
