Stunning Edgy Winter Senior Photoshoot by Jamie Brogdon
Miss Gracie’s winter senior photoshoot might take the cake as an all time favorite of mine. I met Gracie during her sophmore year when she won one of my cheer mini shoots. She did such a wonderful job, and I was so happy that she applied to be on my junior model team for the following year!
I have worked with her in various shoots through the years, and seen so many different variations of her style and personality. But this shoot right here, felt like the most her.
Her style and confidence came alive during this shoot in a way I had only seen glimpses of. The way she makes her black outfits look so unique and versatile, while still being “just black”, is amazing to me. Its all in the poses and the face. Obviously, this is a combination of my direction as photographer with her execution as client… but man, we sure made magic happen. I typically suggest lots of variations in looks and outfits, but she put this together herself and It came out flawlessly. We did get to switch up the black for one look, the cream sweater with brown pants… no color, but a gorgeous neutral that fit so nicely in her line up.
We started off south of downtown near all the cute shops and small business. Hopping around and changing outfits as we went through the different locations I had picked out for us. The weather was a little overcast and dreary, but you’d never know that looking at these photos. We ended up off main street closer to the heart of downtown, and stumbled across a business with Christmas lights up for the holidays. Thankfully it was late enough that they were on… and oh my word… the twinkly bokeh it made was absolutely gorgeous.
Gracie, thank you so much for being you. Having you on my model team for the last 2 years has been wonderful. You are such a hard working young lady, I just know the next chapter of your life is going to be the best yet. Your big heart and kind spirit will take you far out there in the full throttle adulting world. This isn’t a goodbye, but a see you later. Love you!!
