Downtown Urban Senior Photoshoots are one of the most versatile types of shoots, because typically we can get several different types of urban looks mixed with a natural look…. all within a few miles from each other! A few years ago I had the pleasure of photographing Avery for the first time on her dance team. Her big energy and talented technical work was quite incredible.

I had been looking for a dancer to photograph for a really specific shoot idea I had, and she was a perfect fit. I asked her and thankfully she joyfully accepted, even though it was 2 hours away and in the chilly winter! It was quite cold that day, but she stuck it out and did such a perfect job helping me bring my vision to life. That’s this senior though, she’s chill, sweet and go with the flow. Puts her best foot forwards and brings so much life and love to each shoot we do.

We have had so many amazing shoots together over the years that its hard to choose a favorite, truly. I can’t even begin to estimate which one might be my favorite because I would probably guess that they would ALL be my favorite. But her senior shoot was a pretty special one, and a ideal way to wrap up her time in high school and her day’s of shooting with me as a student. *cue the tears*

This urban senior photoshoot started off in Fort Worth, using one of my favorite neutral urban areas to show off her college colors in that classic leather red dress… woo pig sooie! After that we did a quick outfit changed and captured some cute shots with the colorful walls nearby. I don’t know many of us blondes who can pull off yellow, but this girl did it and looks absolutely stunning in it! I feel the color yellow really reflects her big heart and joyful spirit.

After doing the urban spots for our urban senior photoshoot, we hopped over to finish up in the more natural location near downtown. We lucked out with the white flowers still being in bloom. How are these flowers just so gorgeous?! One of my absolute favorite times at this park are when the white flowers are out.

Avery, thank you so much for being you and choosing me to be your senior photographer. From the moment we connected in that long 2 hour car ride, I knew you were something super special, a true game changer. A whimsical free spirit. I can not wait to root you on in your next journey in college! Love you so much!
