For my clients, Highland Park Senior Photos are pretty unique. Most of us hang around the west half of the metroplex more often than the east. Classic, elegant, and just a flare of whimsy. This location was absolutely perfect for sweet Mary Cate, one of my long time clients turned JB Senior.
I met her mom a few years ago while I was setting up flowers for Grapevine Faith Prom with Coco Fleur Events. (yes, I did some floral work at some point in my career) Betsy, MC’s mom, was wearing a lot of hats that day and running around making the entire event come together. This woman could rule the world with all she does. We connected at some point that day during the organized chaos, and the rest was history.
The following year I photographed her brother’s grad party and their family photos, and had Mary Cate join my model team! We had had so many shoots together over the years, and I even had the pleasure of working with her Cheer Team during her senior year.
To pull off successful Highland Park Senior Photos means one thing… waking up before the sun comes up. Yep, you guessed it. I will only shoot Highland Park Senior Photos in the morning light. It’s way too busy to shoot in the evening most of the year, and in order to create those gorgeous photos my seniors and parents love, we gotta start first thing in the morning.
We hopped around to different spots in the shopping area first before heading to a few nearby locations I scouted. Changing outfits along the way, and utilizing every bit of that beautiful morning sun. My favorite look was either her white top & pants or her pink dress and kicks. It was so precious and really fitting for MC’s personality.
MC, watching you grow up through the years has been so so special. This is one of the most bittersweet feelings, and I am almost in denial that you’re actually graduating. We have done so many shoots through the years and I honestly don’t know what life is like without seeing the Crum’s every few months. Guess this means I will be traveling to Oxford to see you at Ole’ Miss. You mam, are amazing. Betsy, Thank you so much for having me be apart of your family milestones for the last few years. You all have been such a blessing to me and your support to my business means the world. Love you both so much!!
